Spiritual Life

Students can celebrate their Catholic faith regularly while attending SJS:

• Each day begins and ends with prayer.
• Prayer stays constant throughout the day with each class rotation.
• Mass is attended weekly and is prepared for and celebrated by a class each week.
• Students in Second Grader prepare for their Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
• The Rosary is prayed every week, sometimes multiple days a week.
• A monthly virtual rosary is broadcast live on the school's Facebook page.
• Adoration is attended by all classes every Thursday.
• Weekly prayer for vocations is observed.
• Students serve as altar servers during Mass starting in 4th Grade.
• Class spiritual retreats occur throughout the year
• Staff includes Dominican Sisters and our parish priests and parochial vicars visit the school.
