Athletics

Ft Worth Adults and Kids 5K fun Run will be February 27, 2010.  Each student participating in the fun run receives a  special t-shirt, medallion and post race refreshments.  Adults participating in race also receive a shirt and post race refreshments.  1st thru 5th graders must run with an adult. 6th-8th graders may runas a group or with a partner.  All students must be met at the finish line by an adult to take them home.  There are thousands of people doing this race day.  That day there is a Marathon, 1/2 marathon, 10k run and adult 5k run for serious runners.  If you are interested in doing the 5k Fun Race with your child or whole family, the form will be in the FYI. Return form by Jan.15th to office or Mrs. Holley with payment.  Each participant must have a registration form.  You can make out one check per family with forms.  Mrs. Holley will take down registration forms and payment to the Cowtown office and then pick up all shirts, runners bibs, etc...for you the week before the race.. They will be sent home  to you  with your child. This is always a fun day and what a great way to share in keeping our bodies healthy and fit.  If you have questions  call Sue Holley at 817-284-2228 or email her at sholley@stjs.org.
 

The purpose of the Fort Worth Diocesan Interscholastic Sports Program is to support and enhance the character development of each student through a sense of discipline, hard work, team effort, and the individual pursuit of excellence. 

Venues for Sporting Events

SPORTS FEES:  Sport fee is $40.00 per sport.   This fee MUST be paid before the first game or the student WILL NOT play.

REMINDER - SPORT PHYSICALS  – All students participating in school sports must have a physical each year.  These are to be done between June 1 and August 30th using the Diocesan form for school physicals.

Students in grades six, seven, and eight may participate in the Diocesan Interscholastic Sports Program.  The SJS Eagles compete in the following sports:
