The school
could not offer the quality of education, service, and sense of community
that it does without parental involvement as volunteers, committee members,
and supporters. All jobs are important, and the students are delighted to
know that their parents are working for the school. |

Keeping the
best interests of the students in mind, and to provide a safe and secure
environment for our youth is a priority of the Diocese of Fort Worth and of
St. John the Apostle Catholic School. To help ensure a safe environment at
St. John the Apostle Catholic School, all volunteers must complete the
following the Keeping Children, Youth and Vulnerable Adults Safe (Called
to Protect) workshop. |

Volunteers
are recognized for their service to the school each year at the Volunteer
Recognition Mass held in May. Additionally, St. John the Apostle Catholic
School is an official certifying organization for the President's Volunteer
Service Awards. Volunteers logging in 100-249 yearly service hours to SJS
will receive the President's Volunteer Service Award - Bronze Level.
Volunteers logging in 250-499 yearly service hours to SJS will receive the
President's Volunteer Service Award - Silver Level. Gold Level awards will
be awarded to those with over 500 yearly service hours to SJS. Volunteer
service hours for the President's Volunteer Service Award can be either ESP
or non-ESP hours, but they MUST be documented on the volunteer sign-in sheet
in the school office.
