Volunteer Information           School Advisory Council (SAC)  

Primarily a consultative body to school administration whose purpose is to:

    1. Establish and implement policy and provide general direction
    2. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs
    3. Plan, publish and review the annual budget
    4. Determine tuition rates and salary guidelines
    5. Development planning, public relations and marketing of the school
    6. Developing the strategic plan for the school

Keeping Children Safe required - Yes

  • Leadership
    • Attend two SAC meetings previous year
    • Commit for three year term
    • Be willing to commit to one SAC Leadership meeting per month
    • Be willing to be liaison on one of the committees, attending committee meetings on a regular basis
  • President – One year term
  • Vice President – One year term
  • Secretary – One year term
  • Committees
    • Finance - Meets monthly. Develops and recommends the operating budget and tuition schedule.
    • Development - Meets monthly Focus on “Friend-raising”, including marketing, publicity and special events
    • Nominating - Meets as needed.  Reviews policy and makes recommendations to the SAC.  Responsible for recruiting new members to the SAC. 
    • Technology - Meets three times a year or as needed.  Update the schools technology needs.
    • Legistlative - Keeps current of any legislative actions that might affect the school.
    • Facilities - Meets three or more times per year. Consults with parents and faculty and facilitates general maintenance projects.
    • Strategic Planning - Generally meets once a year.  Long range focus and coordinates efforts of the other committees
    • Policy - Meets as needed.  Reviews policy and makes recommendations to the SAC.  Responsible for recruiting new members to the SAC.
