School Advisory Council

VISION STATEMENT:

The St. John the Apostle Catholic School Advisory Council strives to create an environment which ensures quality learning conditions for our children.

MISSION STATEMENT:

Realizing this, when the school environment is God-centered, the Catholic Faith of our students can be lived fully through communication between church, family, and school.

Our ultimate goal is to enable our students’ lives to be enriched by the education that they will receive and by the Gospel message so that they may go into the world to be responsive members of society.

Want to get more involved in the school?  Use your gifts and talents?  Come visit the SJS School Advisory Council.  The SAC is an advisory council to Dr. Cummins, structured according to the policies of the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Worth.  We meet monthly during the school year and each of us serves on at least one of the committees of the Council.

There are positions available on these committees:
o     Finance
o     Development
o     Facilities & Technology
o     Long Range/Strategic Planning
o     Legislative Liaison
o     Policy & Nominations

If you’re interested, come to an SAC meeting.  Following is the schedule for the rest of the school year.  We meet at 7:00 pm in the school office. You’re welcome to join us and see what it’s all about!

Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m.
